October 28 Whatda ya say????
Oklahoma domentated NU in the second half just about any way you look at it.
That loss drops NU to a 6-3 record. It looks like my prediction of only 3 losses for the Huskers this year may be down the drain.
ABC will carry the Huskers - Missouri game in Lincoln at 11 AM next Saturday, November 4th as a regional game.....

Next up is Oklahoma State down there this coming Saturday and then on Novemeber 4th we play Missouri and that game will be on ABC... time unknown right now.
There were some exciting plays by NU against Texas that are worth noting:
The double backfield reverse.......
The hook and ladder pass ... Gosh, that was one of plays at the Beaver City high school in 1950.
The Student body right that turn into a pass by Lucky to the tight end in the end zone.
On reflection... it was a very entertaining game... October 22 The error prone Huskers, despite hard tough play against a high ranking Texas team, basically gave away the game with fumbles, interceptions, and penalties.
It was exciting from the Texas runback of the opening kickoff almost for a score to the last two 'Hail Mary' passes by Nebraska.
Maybe next time in the Big 12 Championship game it will come togather for the Huskers against the Texas team.......

October 17 The Huskers play Texas at 11 AM on this Saturday. The game will be on TV on ABC.
Can the Huskers win?
Texas has one of the best run defenses in the country so the Huskers will need some help to beat them.
Maybe the Football Fates will:
Let the Huskers intercept three passes and run them back for touchdowns.
Let the Huskers run back some punt or kick off returns for touchdowns.
Let the Huskers recover at least two fumbles in good field position.
Let Coach Callahan turn quarter back Zac Taylor and the talented receiver corp loose to set some records in passing yardage and passing touchdowns. No use saving this weapon any longer, Coach....... The Nebraska Cornhuskers moved up in the rating systems going to # 17 in the BCS and AP polls and to #16 in the US Today poll. October 15 Beating Kansas State 21-3 on October 14th keeps my head above water on my prediction of only losing 3 games. with a 6-1 record the ods are improving that they will make it.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers advanced their record to 5-1 on Saturday, October 7th with a 28-14 win over Iowa State.
Cody Glenn had his best running game.
The Huskers were ahead 21-7 at half time and then struggled through the second half on the raod at Ames Iowa.
With the exception of one drive right before the half and some nice individual plays it was again a pretty ugly game again.
